NOTE FROM JANET:
The scriptures say that we are to glorify the Father in all that we do. It has always been my desire to please the Father. As we study the scriptures, we find that God was glorified through Christ Jesus. John 14:12-15 says, "Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me keep my commandments" As well, in John 21-17 it says, "If you love me feed, feed my sheep". At that time he was referring to spiritual food, which is the Word of God.
I realize that God has placed in me the gift of song, which is my way of feeding his sheep. It has been one of my greatest joys to write for Him in order to fulfill His desire, and that is for all of us to spread the love of God and share the good news that Christ died for the sins of the world. Luke 4:18 & 19 says, "The spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because he hath anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." It is my desire and privilege to spread the love of God through MUSIC throughout the World.
In this life, we enter many races in hopes of winning. These races are the many individual goals we set for ourselves to accomplish.
Some never stop to realize before entering the race, that others have gone before us and accomplished these same things, and more.
We strive to be the best at what we do. We struggle with impatience to make it to the finish. We worry, fret, and seem to often times forget almost every rule. When along the way we encounter almost every obstacle that we would have never thought we would have to cross. But the obstacles are there.
In these moments of stress and diversion, we sometimes break the rules. And with God as our judge, the Great Lawmaker Himself, we must never forget he is watching and to him, it's not important if we win or lose but how we play the game, as they say.
When all is said and done and our life here on earth is through, God's the one that holds our prize. So, in this life it may look to others as if we've won, that we have finished the race, only to find that we had been disqualified for our thoughtless deeds.
To those who it looks like you'd never win, you might just think again. Love is the key and God is love. Your unselfish deeds he did see.
My Prayer:
"Lord help me to win, not only to win, but to have fun in trying and to find joy in helping others along the way. And when this race is over, I'll find peace and rest in accomplishing goals for you and doing my very best. I love you Lord Jesus and I thank you quite simply for my life, for my family and friends, and for all you've done for me. I thank you for saving me and keeping me along my journey throughout this life."
